The performance, combining music and dance, takes place in the control room of the Chandoline hydroelectric power station in Sion.Between 1934 and 2013, this classified industrial building was one of the key elements in the French-speaking Swiss electricity industry.
Today, it is used for cultural events (operas, Biennale Son etc.). The factory was built at the same time as the Grande Dixence dam, from which it collected water transferred through a penstock to transform it into energy. Sara Oswald and Nicole Morel respond to the control room, which resembles a 1960s sci-fi film set, with an intervention entitled Control/No Control, which evokes the ambiguity of our behavior towards nature and the climate.

Sara Oswald (b. 1978, Fribourg) holds a degree from the Lausanne Conservatory (HEMU) and a postgraduate diploma in baroque cello from the Haute École de Musique (HEM) in Geneva. She subsequently trained in improvisation and now plays original contemporary music. She co-founded the Barbouze de chez Fior quartet, which won the 2015 Vaud Culture Prize for Music. She has performed solo since 2017. Oswald’s debut album, Bivouac, was released in 2022. She lives in Leysin.

Nicole Morel (b. 1985) is a graduate of the School of the Hamburg Ballet and holds a certificate of advanced studies in dramaturgy and textual performance from the University of Lausanne and the University of Performing Arts of Western Switzerland (La Manufacture). She began her career at the Compañia Nacional de Danza 2 in Madrid, before joining ballettmainz and, later, the Ballett am Rein (Düsseldorf and Duisburg), as a soloist. She founded Antipode Danse Tanz in Fribourg in 2014.
